It's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny. It was my destiny to meet my ultimate soulmate. It was often hilarious to think of the circumstances our destinies became one, we met through our families, Jaya was in New York and I was in Chicago, after a series of talks we decided to meet, on Memorial day 2006, i decided to fly to New York to meet the women of my dreams. I flew from O'Hare to La Gaurdia within 24 hrs notice, deep within my heart i knew this girl is the one i am destined to be with forever the rest of my life. I was so confident that i bought a Diamond ring to propose. I landed at La Gaurdia, The flight was late, i was feeling nervous to finally meet the one, even though we had been conversing for quite a long time, i came out of the arrival lounge and my eyes lay their sight on her for the first time, it was like the heavens were showering their grace all along, there she was in the most simplistic of attires, holding a large bouquet of red roeses, my 'Lady in Red', it was love at first sight for me. We caught a taxi and went to my friend's house. That evening we had a romantic dinner at 'Baluchi's'- New York, we talked and talked as if, we were long lost friends who had much to share and catch up with. It was one unforgettable evening with the love of my life, that was the moment i realised my soul had been pinning for her all these years, it was as if we were 'made for each other', that day i understood the meaning of longing, i longed to be with the lady who had charmed me outright. Next day afternoon, i asked her out, we were walking the Avenue of the Americas when i felt i should prop up the question. I went on my knees and asked the woman of my dreams to marry me, Jaya was estatic and dumbfolded. There in New York she finally said yes. I felt most joyous and happy, it was as if God was watching us from a distance and blessing us.

   " So Long i have been looking so hard, been waiting so long...... for a girl like you to come into my life.". I finally met my destiny.
